Homeopathy is a specialization in Natural Medicine that facilitates healing through the use of plant/animal/mineral-based medicines that are potentized, which means that they have gone through a process of successive dilutions with succussion, (vigorous shaking), between each dilution. The resultant medicines are, in practical terms, micro-dilutions of the original substance.

Homoeopathically prepared medicines are stimulative to the organ systems of the body in ways that are unique in Natural Medicine. Rather than using high-dose medicines palliatively, which is the case for most conventional drug therapy and Botanical Medicine, Homeopathy employs micro-dose medicines stimulative to restore optimal organ function and to initiate a healing response throughout the systems of the body.

Homeopathy is a type of Natural Medicine that was developed as an extension of our knowledge of the laws of Homeostasis, which demonstrate that the body is constantly assessing perceived change and adjusting itself to maintain balance and order. By working with the tendencies of the body to adjust to stimulation or change, Homeopathy can evoke a reparative response to cell and tissue systems. Because homeopathic medicines are micro-dose medicines, they carry a quantum chemical signal that affects cell function and communication between organ systems. This signaling is one of the safest and most effective means of evoking repair responses in the body and is one of the best types of Natural Medicine to treat chronic disease or any type of dysfunctional pattern in the body systems.

A commonly held principle in Homeopathy is the Law of Similars, or that “Like can be cured by Like.” This is an ancient understanding in medicine that dates back to the earliest days of modern medical philosophy as Hippocrates and Paracelsus who are each credited with the foundations of our current understanding of disease and health, observed. The Law of Similars is not just a guiding principle in homeopathy, but a guiding principle in nature and can be observed with consistency in the body.

Healing with Homeopathy involves consideration of the root cause of disease, the patient as a person, the nutritional status of the body, the unique pattern of disease symptoms each case presents, and the general constitution of the patient. There are many factors to consider in order to determine the best homeopathic medicine to employ in a given case.

A Naturopathic doctor is medically trained, naturally focused, and regulated through the provincial association, Manitoba Naturopathic Association (https://www.cndmb.org), and the national association Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (https://www.cand.ca).

A visit to a Naturopathic doctor can be considered alongside or in place of any issue that would bring you to see your regular medical doctor. Naturopathic doctors are not covered by provincial healthcare but are covered through extended medical plans. During a first visit, your Naturopathic Doctor will review and examine all of your health concerns in detail to determine the root cause(s) of your complaints. Often lab tests are recommended and/or requested from your medical doctor. If necessary, your Naturopathic Doctor will send you to a lab for bloodwork if needed.

Osteopathy treatment care consists of using a person’s medical history, visual observation, palpation, orthopedic and osteopathic testing followed by hands-on manual osteopathy. The hands-on approach aims to remediate patterns of strain and tension that may be impeding the proper function of the body. Additional guidance for behavioral issues that may be related to the complaint may also be part of the treatment plan. Altogether, the main goals of manual treatment are to improve pliability, mobility, and fluid circulation within the body. The rationale behind these goals is rooted in the understanding of the basic principles of body unity, self-regulation, and the interrelationship of the structure and function.

Our expression of movement is closely related to our central nervous system, which is how manual osteopathy may approach certain problems of the body. Manual osteopathy may be helpful for individuals experiencing mobility restrictions, postural problems, acute or chronic pain, sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, or other issues associated with various diseases or disorders.

The osteopathic lens differentiates itself from other modalities when considering its understanding of the interconnectedness of the body’s systems. Osteopathic Manual Therapists offer an individualized treatment to help bring change and support each person. Lastly, another major goal is to help you return to life’s many activities, such as sports, work, and quality time with family and friends.

Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) is a dynamic therapeutic approach that blends the most effective elements of hypnotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and coaching. It works by accessing the subconscious mind to uncover and address the root causes of challenges like anxiety, depression, phobias, and limiting beliefs. RTT is designed to create profound, lasting change by helping clients reframe deep-seated thoughts and behaviours, often producing noticeable results after just one or two sessions. This integrative method empowers individuals to break free from patterns that have held them back, guiding them toward clarity, confidence, and a renewed sense of well-being.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy utilizes the principle of hypnosis, which allows the subconscious mind to express itself. For example when you read a book and are so comfortable simply being that you eventually realize you remember nothing of what you just read. You remember your eyes skimming the words, but the details that filled the pages simply aren’t there. Or when you’re driving home from work, and suddenly, you’ve driven right past your house! Those states in are mind is parallel with that of hypnosis. Hypnotherapy has been used in many forms, including pain management, losing weight, childbirth, coping with trauma and grief, finding inner peace, personal growth, overcoming phobias, accelerated healing, smoking cessation, and many other applications. With an open mind, and dedication, the possibilities are endless.

Massage Therapy

To best serve your unique massage therapy needs, we first begin with a range of motion and orthopedic assessments to determine links towards possible causes and to identify appropriate treatments. These treatments are focused on muscular imbalances using relevant techniques.

André focuses his treatments on a global osteopathic approach for an individual’s life from childhood to adulthood to the elderly. This may include chronic pain, sports injuries, MVAs, TMJ disorder, digestive issues, urinogenital issues, and much more.

The treatments that will be provided are focused on neuromuscular imbalances using relevant techniques. Therefore, initial treatments generally involve a consultation about the specific complaint(s), followed by range of motion and orthopaedic assessments to determine the client’s appropriate treatment(s) (approximately 20-40minutes). André may encourage and provide beneficial exercises to rehabilitate certain physical discomforts.

One important osteopathic principle is that the body is a functional unit, which, with proper knowledge, a practitioner can retrace the cause of injury or pain. Once the cause has been found, the practitioner can then advise patients to seek proper care or seek aid in their recovery through specific identified treatment.

I am here to offer knowledge and experience in Natural Medicine to help you find your pathway to healing and vitality. Healing is something sacred and always available to us. There are many pathways for healing. What I have to offer is guidance through these various paths.

My training is in Homeopathic Medicine, Botanical Medicine, Clinical Nutrition, Allergy Testing, and Nutraceutical Support. My educational background is in Chemistry, where I graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a Bachelor of Science and a double major in Biochemistry and Chemistry. I worked for three years at the University of Winnipeg doing research in the Biochemistry department, where I helped to test the single-enzyme activity of high-dilution solutions through capillary electrophoresis. My fascination with quantum chemistry led me to investigate the philosophy of Homeopathy: the study of biological reactions at sub-molecular activity levels through natural medicine.

Inspired by the philosophy of Homeopathy, I continued my studies in medicine at the Manitoba College of Homeopathic Medicine, where I completed a 4-year natural medical program and graduated with the title Doctor of Homeopathic Medical Sciences in 2006.

My education and training at the MCHM were inspiring and eye-opening. I felt for the first time that my understanding of quantum chemistry finally connected with the type of medicine we were taught to employ. I learned that chronic disease can only be present within a system that needs greater balance and support over time. I learned the invaluable gift of understanding a person’s health as a holistic experience, inseparable from their life experiences, genetic susceptibilities, and unique constitution. I learned what healing entails: that it’s a learned experience. Healing involves addressing the root cause of imbalance and teaching the body through supportive therapies to restore patterns of function that are appropriate and optimal for health and wellness.

I am trained to support and restore health in all cases of pathology. I have come to specialize in pediatrics, digestive health, hormone balance, healthy immune function, and nervous system health. I have been trained to use many natural modalities to facilitate healing: Homeopathy, Herbal Medicine, Lifestyle Counselling, Nutritional Therapy, Food Sensitivity Testing, and Vitamin/Mineral Therapies.

I am passionate about the healing process and committed to serving my clients to the very best of my abilities in every case.

I am honoured to be a part of your journey to wellness.

Let’s get started!
